The Internet's Back.......NOT!!!!

I thought the internet is back this morning since the internet company said that it would, but for some reason it's gone again when afternoon comes....so.........yeah..........

UPDATES!

* Not much progress on The Lego Me this week because of the loss of internet. I needed the internet to download a photo-stitching software to create panoramas for environment mapping. And since there's no internet for the whole week, I wasn't able to download one. But even if the internet's absent, I did create some awesome things for The Lego Me, like;

THE MUSIC!!! You will have to wait for the final video to hear it.

And also...

Some render tests! I was actually torn between rendering it in normal Blender Render and rendering it in Cycles. Normal Blender render would give me these results:

It may not look that good but it can look better with a better light set-up. I also prefer it over Cycles Render because it reduces the chances of my laptop crashing.

However when I tried Cycles Render, I can't help but be tempted to use it because of the awesome results I got from it.

Just look at that beauty.....

So beautiful.....

This still needs a lot of work but this is the reason why I want to download a photo-stiching software: to create the spherical environment that I can then use to get the proper lighting and reflection for the CG object. As you can see it almost blended to the background which is my room. You can see in my recent vlogs that I've been using that background.

I even animated it and did a test render in Cycles:

 

It looks awesome, right? XD And my laptop didn't crash. It turns out that I just have to set it to the right settings to get an awesome render and reduce the chances of crashing.

So after the render tests, I ended into a decision of using Cycles for rendering.

Internet's gone at home so my week isn't really that progressive. XD

UPDATES!

* The only update I have this week is the modeling of The Lego Me character in Blender.

It still has no facial rig because I'm still deciding on some ways to animate his face.

The texture and the hair is not final, either. I may do lots of tweaking next week.

But yeah! The Lego Me! It may be up after 2 weeks. Also I won't be able to give much daily updates because the internet's down at home. Financial problems. XD

My Ultimate Plan

Hold on to your butts because I'm about to share to you in detail what I plan for my filmmaking life. 

This blog is mainly for those who knows me(friends, family, etc.)and those who are curious about my decisions. It may answer their questions:  Why did you stop going to school? Are you sure about that? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

First, I like to emphasize the fact that before deciding on getting out of (the nightmare of studying a course I'm not willing to take as a career) college, I thought everything through. I did not just decide to do this out of a whim. I had everything planned out and although my plan may not be perfect, what's important is I HAVE A PLAN! I'm not taking on this journey blind but I see what's going to happen to me if I fail or, by God's grace, if I succeed.

ANYWAYS!

My Ultimate Plan has three phases.

 PHASE I: Become a 100% Full-time YouTuber.

PHASE II: Build-up Filmmaking Equipment and Crew.

PHASE III: Make Doodle Notes an Official Film Studio.

My ultimate plan relies solely upon the completion of Phase 1.
After I achieve a 100% completion of Phase 1, everything else will follow.

The first phase of my plan is to become a 100% Full-time YouTuber.

A YouTuber is someone who makes a living making videos on YouTube.
There are many kinds of YouTubers out there:
Gaming, Make-up, Vlogging, Toy Unboxing, Filmmaking, Animation , etc.
 Due to the creative freedom that it offers and the chance of gaining revenue from doing the thing that you love, 
Being a YouTuber, I think, is a perfect career for aspiring artists.

There are some who don’t think that being a YouTuber is a career.
Mostly because they don’t understand what it is or they don’t think that they have the skills to do what a YouTuber does.
And a YouTuber(only the best ones) does A LOT of HARDWORK  to make their videos. They really invest A LOT of time on their contents to make them AWESOME. In short, they’re working on it FULL-TIME.
I intend to be one of the best YouTubers out there.
And judging the scale of the projects I want to venture into and the contents I plan to upload on my channels, I really need to do this FULL-TIME. Because if I don’t, the chances of failure gets higher. And failure tends to happen when you put only HALF of your heart into something. And I don’t want to do that for Doodle Notes.

100% means a STABLE career as a YouTuber.
A considerable amount of views and subscribers and a monthly revenue. Most importantly, a steady stream of really good quality, AWESOME, contents coming from my channels. If I achieve those,  then this phase of the plan is complete.

• More than 10,000 Subscribers.
• More than 50,000 views for the majority of the videos.
• Reach/Exceed payment threshold every month.

• CONSISTENCY not just on uploading but also the quality of the contents.
• Never fail to listen to your audience and constructive criticisms. Also 
• Never forget the true purpose of my dream:

"Bringing forth Awesomeness to Glorify the Awesome!"

 If Phase I is 100% complete, the next phases will come like a breeze.

The second phase of my plan is to build-up filmmaking equipment and crew.

I need tools to create or to level up my works.

Filmmaking and sound equipment. Powerful computers for post-production, etc.

So, in this phase, I'll slowly build up on those equipment.

I want to have a film crew that would also work full-time for Doodle Notes.

The ones that will really commit during the whole production of any content.

Not just the ones who are willing to do the work but will also give their best to do it.

The ones that will respect Doodle Notes' mission.

In this Phase, I'll look for those people. (Hopefully they exist...)

• Complete set of equipment that passes production standards.
• Have at least 5 full-time crew members.

Once I’m 100% sure that my YouTuber career is stable and I completed a satisfying set of film equipment and crew, I know I’ll be ready for Phase III:

To make Doodle Notes an Official Film Studio.

A A studio that specializes in the creation or production of any artistic contents, but mainly films. Kinda like Disney. But also accepting artist clients to assist them in their projects. My target for Doodle Notes is to make it one of the best filmmaking studios in the Philippines. And I know I still have a long way to go through before that but I got a good feeling about this and I intend to make this dream come true.

• Doodle Notes has a STUDIO of it's own.
• The studio is complete with rooms, equipments, tools that will cover all the different film making roles and artistic needs.
• Doodle Notes becomes a legal business with different clients from both professional and amateur filmmakers.
• Doodle Notes is known in the country...or maybe in the whole world. :3

To be honest, I don't know! XD

I'm yet to discover it! It's phase III anyway. I have to focus on how to complete Phase I and II for now because I won't reach Phase III without them! So yeah! Phase III is still too far and would be greatly affected by the results of Phase I and II. SO I won't be spending my time thinking about it for now. :)

If you're reading this 10 years from the time this Blog is created then I could've finished this plan already. But if you're reading this close to the time of this Blog's creation then you should know the status of my reality.

Right now(July 17, 2014), Doodle Notes YouTube channel has 62 subscribers and an overall video views of 9,608. Out of 29 videos only 2 has over 1,000 views. Estimated earnings....$1.05 and growing. Slowly but surely.

Right now(January 10, 2015), Doodle Notes YouTube channel has 118 subscribers and an overall video views of 16,356. Out of 37 videos only 3 has over 1,000 views. Estimated earnings....$1.69 and growing. Slowly but surely.

As of(February 1, 2016), Doodle Notes YouTube 2nd channel(former main channel) has 538 subscribers and an overall video views of 50,838. Out of 100+ videos 16 has over 1,000 views. Actual earnings....sorry, can't say. XD. Newly created Main channel has 75 subscribers and an overall video views of 3,792. Out of 10 videos only 1 has over 1,000 views. Estimated Earnings...$0.45 and growing. XD

All I want from you guys are your prayers and your faith. I've shared to you my plans, because I want you to know that this guy HAS A PLAN! Not flailing around blindly in the dark.

I'm going to reach that dream without cheating or without succumbing to the poison's of the world.

God's standards is the basis of my works' standards. And I won't stop striving 'til I reach that standard.

God's wisdom is the foundation of my ideas. So I won't be satisfied 'til I fully live it.

I work for excellence not for money. My every being will only move for excellence because through excellent products, can I glorify my God. Everything I do in Doodle Notes, I do it for Him. All of it for His glory.

I AM WEAK. I make a lot of mistakes. I'm human. I am limited.

But as long as He's with me. I will always do what I do best:

The Black Box Explained

ANYWAYS!

The Black Box, for me, was originally about my struggles with my oh so negative mind. I tend to over-think things, which is actually useful as an artist but a real pain when facing real problems. Because of my over-thinking I dwell so much time recalling past events or making up stories in my mind which ends mostly thinking about negative things and with me feeling down or condemned. The negativity also affects other things and sometimes my decisions are affected by it which just adds up to the negative things I'll think about in the future. So like most people, I tried to deal with the struggle.

As a Christian, I pray for it of course. But Faith without Action is not good and most likely ends to nothing. So I prayed and prayed and, I think, as an answer, He gave me the idea of The Black Box.

Since the negativity consumes my mind and affects other things in it(and is already a part of me), I thought of a way to isolate everything in my mind. Separate the happy thoughts from the sad ones and so on. I ended up using boxes. So it starts....

"Imagine your mind is filled with boxes..."

A mind filled with boxes of different sizes and colors each containing all the things you've known, you've done and you've experienced.

I also tried to give variety to how the things are stored in the box like:

List of Happy moments

Number of Honest times

Names of loved ones in Hearts

I made it simple because I want it to be understandable. The idea may have been used somewhere but I don't remember ever seeing it from other works.

Anyways!

"Among other boxes, one always tries hard to be seen....to be noticed...."

A Black Box holds all of the negativity. And my struggle is to keep it closed....

"But for some reason, you opened it..."

I said "for some reason," because most of the time, I tend to "open the Black Box" in the most absurd reasons. Sometimes there's no reason at all! And I don't really know why...(And I think this is true to most people)

All I know is how much regret I feel when it's opened.

"...all of them came out! Your saddest moments, past mistakes, deepest regrets..."

I represented the negativity as a smoke. An alive smoke. A thick black smoke is dark and it can cover a whole area fast. It can also grow thicker and thicker and could suffocate you if you're trapped in the middle of it. And that's how it feels like when negativity fills my mind. Negativity no matter how small it is could grow big and could cover you're mind once you let it dwell.

It can also affect you emotionally and sometimes when it covers the entirety of your mind, you feel so much pain that you can hardly breathe. It can stay so long inside of you until you see no hope.

"Until...you see a light..."

The light can represent many things. A friend that comforts you, a family that helps you with a struggle or a significant other which gives you the reason to look on the bright side. For me, the light was God.

I don't really like sharing my struggles to my friends. I let them share their problems to me. I don't mind to carry their burden but I don't want them to carry mine. I'm also very secretive to my family and don't really tell them my weaknesses. I can see theirs but I try hard to hide mine. I'm selfish when it comes to my problems.

You might think I'd be lonely, but I have never felt so alive. Because I believe that nobody's really alone. And I also believe that it's because we all have the "spirit". The Holy Spirit. God is always with us. With me. So even if I'm alone, just by looking to Him, to the Light, I find the strength to rise up from the problem, to breathe from suffocation. Even if I'm physically alone.

I used the light to represent our Savior. Which removed the smoke and sealed the Black box.

Because of Him, I found a way out of condemnation, misery, guilt and all other negative things that consumed me before.

"But as the days pass by....maybe even years...you see the boxes again."

The boxes would never leave. Even The Black Box. The knowledge of our sins will always be in our minds. But even from the start, THE LIGHT has given us a choice. The choice to follow what He says or not.


I won't force you into a decision, of course. Because just like how He gave us the freedom to choose, The video also says:

"The Choice will always be yours."

God gave us the freedom to choose. But he also gives us the hint of where our choices will take us. He only wants what's best for us. So choose whatever you want. But don't fail to hear the warning of where it will take you. :)
